The Liebster Award

Well who would have guessed that I would be nominated for another blogging award! Thank you to my dear friend Ainsley for nominating me–although I am not worthy to be even called a blogger…

First off, the rules–for what is a competition without rules?

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you–Thank you Ainsley 🙂 y’all go check out her blog, she is the sweetest
  2. Answer the questions from the person who nominated you
  3. Nominate 5 bloggers who have less then 200 followers
  4. Tell your nominees
  5. Ask 11 new questions

Now on to the questions:

What’s your favorite and least favorite blog post?

My Whitehorse Mob post is my least favorite, for the reason that I disappointed many people in not continuing it. My favorite post I have written has not been published, but I hope to have it up soon–stay tuned!

What’s your go-to Starbucks order?

Double Chocolate Frappuccino, a frozen drink that satisfies every sugary and chocolate taste bud. It is the only order I get from that place–even in Winter. That, however, was before Starbucks supported the slaughter of innocent, pre-born babies, gave money to Israel-hating organizations and encouraged children to destroy their bodies.

If you could instantly know everything about one school subject which would it be?

English Language and Composition. I dream about being a professional writer whose essays are so well put-together that I need no editor, whose responses are backed with evidence and commentary that entertains and enlightens my readers, and whose footnotes are impeccably superscripted so that my grade is 100% rather than 98% (I am still bitter about that last reason…)

Do you like peanut butter?

On apples? Yes. With Chocolate? Absolutely. In Yogurt? There is the door.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

I believe I answered this in the last post where I was nominated for an award that–unsurprisingly–I did not win. 🙂

Best prank you ever pulled?

It was April Fool’s some years ago. I was eating breakfast with my siblings when one of them made a passing remark that one of us should try and trick our dad, who is notorious for pranking his kids. I immediately jumped from my chair and declared myself the one to do it.

Giggling in expectation, I skipped into my father’s home office, where the news was on and talking about something depressing, where the dog was stretched lazily on his bed, and where my dad was at his desk with his brows drawn so close together I knew that he was overwhelmed and–how shall I put it–not in the lightest mood.

But I was too intent on being the one to trick him to care whether or not I should interrupt him. The question I was faced with now was: what shall the prank be? I glanced at the news where they were discussing the plight of some airline or another, and inspiration struck. I mustered up the most alarmed expression I could and delivered my April fool news:

“Hey dad, did you hear that a plane crashed into your office and everyone died??!”

“WHAT??” The look of utter disbelief and grief on his face as he swirled round to stare at me scared the fun of the prank right out of me. I had no idea he would take me seriously…and had no idea how to retract my statement without bringing down the grapes of wrath…

Brownies or cookies?

Ah, the timeless question of which delicacy would one prefer over another; the gooey, chocolatey euphoria of a fresh made brownie, or the divine, sweet satisfaction of a cooling cookie? How can one choose? How can one’s answer be anything but “please place both on my plate for the enjoyment of my stomach”?

What’s your favorite app?

Currently it is Instagram. I love seeing what my friends are up to–especially when I have not seen them in weeks or months–and I love spamming my followers’ feeds with pictures and videos of my adorable baby brother.

Most annoying thing about blogging?

The time–of which I do not have–that it takes to produce a well written post! Believe me, I have multiple posts in the wings, waiting to be finished and uploaded, yet I have no time to finish them! …Sometimes I wonder if I should stop trying and just delete this poorly neglected site…

Do you enjoy sports? If so which ones?

I love the sportsball. The running, the sweating, the scoring, the camaraderie, the sweating, the cheering, the rivalry, the sweating. Sportsball is really a spectacular thing–only when the sportsball is Chicago Cubbie sportsball.

Favorite moment of 2020 so far?

When I first got to hold my newest little brother, feel his fragile body resting in my arms, and realize I’d do anything for this special sibling God has chosen to bless our family with.

Now I must nominate 5 bloggers to answer the questions I give them:

and if you are a blogger and would like to participate, let me know down in the comments; all the other bloggers I know have either already done this or have over 200 followers (I wonder what’s that like?).

My Questions to You:

What is one book that you have read over and over and over and over…?

Have you ever written fiction? If so, give us an excerpt of a favorite scene that you have written.

What do you think of the book and/or movie of The Princess Bride ?

Best moment in your life so far?

Which tv show is your preferred and why?

Pop or Country music?

Who is your favorite American President and why?

If you could go back in time and meet two people, who would they be?

Sledding or Swimming?

Who is one person that has had an enormous impact on your life?

If you could stop one thing happening in the world right now, what would it be?
