The parallel to humanity’s redemption story in The Merchant of Venice is very similar; here is Antonio, a man who has it all: wealth, friends, a good life, and he is willing to put all of that on the line for his friend--a friend who owes him a debt already. The terms are unfair, for why should Antonio be the one whose flesh is removed if Bassanio is the one who owes the money?
As Christians, we aren't following Trump, we are following Christ, and if Christ is finished using Trump, then we should thank him, but continue to follow our maker where He is leading. Biden will be in the White House come January 20th, and we should prepare accordingly by waiting on the Lord...
With this knowledge, I can say with confidence that if America elects Trump, praise the Lord, His will be done, or if America elects Biden, praise the Lord, His will be done (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
